A 32-year-old man has reported to police that he was molested by a person with Down syndrome at a local community center.
He says the incident didn’t happen just once — it happened every day during the summer, while they were both part of a daytime activity program.
The program includes both people with and without disabilities, and takes place at a shared public facility.
The man said he was touched inappropriately while sitting in a common area. Staff members stepped in soon after and separated both individuals.
The person accused is a 28-year-old man with Down syndrome who was part of a supervised care group at the center.
Police are now investigating. They are reviewing security camera footage and speaking with staff and witnesses.
No one has been arrested or charged yet. Authorities say they are taking the report seriously and will work with mental health experts to understand what happened.
The community center said in a statement, 'We’re fully cooperating with the investigation and supporting everyone involved.'
The man who made the report has asked for privacy and is getting counseling.
Police are asking the public not to judge until the investigation is complete.
